CIET is a premier institute of India. Institute was established in 1984. It is a constituent unit of NCERT. It is located in New Delhi. It conducts research activities in Educational technology. Seperate state institute of educational technology were established in Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Bihar and Maharashtra. The main aim of the Institutions is production of educational materials (audio, video and text).
