Tamil Nadu state has formed, Dr. MGR Medical University, to which all the medical and para-medical educational institutions have been attached for purposes of admission, syllabus monitoring and quality assurance. Almost all the institutions conducting nursing education  are attached to it hence common rules apply to all of them. For admission to 4 years B.Sc. Nursing degree colleges, following requirements are to be met. Qualification: 10+2 secondary education with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology taken together). Age: Minimum of 17 years or Dec. 31 of the year. Selection is based on merit obtained in the written entrance test of 100 marks conducted by Anna University Madras 600025 at several designated centers (21 to date). The questions are based on 10+2 syllabus of Tamil Nadu. Notification: March Last Date: April Admissions : June/July Exceptions: Following 3 colleges follow similar procedure for admission, but conduct their own entrance examinations:
