Eligibility MBA Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree n any discipline with 50% (45% for SC/ST/BC) aggregate marks or CA/ICWA/CS/AMIE exam. MPM & IR Bachelor’s degree with 55% mark (50% for SC/ST/CB) of BE/B Tech with 60% marks or M com with 50% marks or PG Dip in Personnel Mge/Labour Welfare. Candidates appearing in final year degree exam are also eligible. MBA (PT) Sponsored graduates with 50% marks or CA/ICWA/CS or PG Diploma in Personnel Management and Labour Welfare/Marketing Management with 60% aggregate marks. Candidates should have 2 yrs executive experience.

Application Procedure Application form and prospectus can be obtained n person from the University Business School on payment of Rs. 120 through Bank draft in favour of Registrar, Punjab University, Chandigarh or Rs. 140 through bank draft alongwith a self-addressed stamped (Rs. 7) envelope of 30 x 25 cms if required by post. Completed application with test fee of Rs. 60 should reach the School by the notified date.

Selection Written test on general ability/knowledge, Maths and comprehension in English. Test Centres Bangalore, Chandigarh, Delhi, Dhanbad, Kanpur and Mumbai. Shortlisted candidates are called for group discussion and interview.

Fees Tuition fee (per annum) Rs. 2,500. NRIs/Foreign Students US$ 5,000.

Hostels for outstation students. Boarding/lodging Rs. 1,800 pm.

Engineering Exam in CHANDIGARH

COMMON ENTRANCE TEST (CET) is conducted by Punjab University for admission to
BE/B Tech/BArch courses in its Colleges/Department of Chemical Engineering & Technology; Punjab Engineering College.

Allocation of Seats Candidates who have passed qualifying exam from Schools/Colleges located in Chandigarh 60% (Union Territory Pool) 40% Admission in Department of Chemical Engineering & Technology is offered on All India Basis.

Eligibility 10+2 (Science Stream) exam with Eng., Phy, Chem and Maths or its equivalent from a recognised Board. Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying exam are also eligible. Candidates should be physically fit.

Application Procedure Application from and CET booklet can be obtained from the Punjab University on cash payment of Rs. 120. The form can also be obtained by post from the Manager, Publication Bureau, Punjab University, Chandigarh on payment of Rs. 140 through bank draft in favour of the Registrar. Punjab university. Completed applications with test fee of Rs. 400/500 Rs. 200 for SC/ST candidates) through bank draft should reach the Assistant Registrar (CET), Punjab University by the notified date.

Selection Merit in CET conducted in Phy. Chem. and Maths. Candidates for BArch course are also required to appear in aptitude test. Centres : Chandigarh, Delhi and Ludhiana, The merit list is notified in local newspapers/colleges. Candidates whose names appear in the merit list are required to appear for counseling on the specified dates.

Admission Candidates whose names appear in the merit list are also required to apply separately on the prescribed application form for centralised admission which can be obtained from the Convener, Joint Admission Committee, Punjab University or as notified on cash payment of Rs. 60 or Rs.75, if desired by post.

Medical Exam in CHANDIGARH


COMMON ENTRANCE TEST (CET) is conducted by Punjab University for admission to MBBS/BPharm courses at its constituent Colleges/Department located in Chandigarh. MBBS Govt Medical College, Chandigarh (50 seats); BPharm University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, (PU) Chandigarh (50).

Admission is open to candidates who have passed qualifying exam from institutions located in Chandigarh.

Eligibility MBBS Age 17 yrs on December 31 of the year of admission.

Academic qualifications 12th Sec examination or equivalent with 50% aggregate marks in Phy, Chem, Biol and English (40% in case of SC/ST) in First Attempt. BPharm 12 Std exam or equivalent with Eng, Phy, Chem and Biol, Candidates who have passed the qualifying exam from Open Schools are NOT eligible for MBBS. Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying exam are also eligible. Candidates should be medically fit.

Application Procedure CET application form and prospectus can be obtained from Punjab University on cash payment of Rs. 120 or by post from the Manager, Publication Bureau, Punjab University, Chandigarh (or as notified) through demand draft of Rs. 150 in favour of the Registrar, Punjab University, Chandigarh. Completed applications with exam fee of Rs.500 should reach the Asst Registrar (CET cell) of the University under Registered A/D cover by the notified date. Admission Candidates are also required to apply directly to the respective institution in which they want to seek admission after obtaining application forms and prospectus, as and when notified. Selection Merit in CET conducted at Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Delhi and Kurukshetra. The entrance test is based on objective and descriptive type questions in Phy, Chem and Biol containing 60 objectives and 10 descriptive questions in each paper. Sample questions in each paper are given in the prospectus. The University publish merit lists of the candidates on the basis of attainment of 15% aggregate marks (10% for SC/ST) in the test.
