INVESTIGATORS EXAM

This Examination is held once a year generally in the month of October for recruitment of Investigators in National Sample Organization (Field Operations Division), Ministry of Planning,
all over the country. The blank applications and other particulars are published in the Employment News, generally in the month of May. The last date for submission of applications is usually second week of February.

Initial Pay: 

About Rs. 6000 in the scale of Rs. 5500-175-9000.

Examination Fee: 


Rs. 35/- (Rs. Thirty-five only). No fee for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Physically Handicapped and Ex-servicemen.

Age Limits: 


20 to 26 years on the 1st January of the year of examination. Upper age limit relaxable for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and such other categories of persons as may from time to time be notified in this behalf by the Government of India to the extent and subject to the conditions notified in respect of each category.

Educational Qualifications: 


Essential: Degree with Mathematics or Statistics or Economics as a subject from a recognized University or equivalent.

Desirable: 


(a) Ability to read and write and speak the State language; 
(b) Knowledge of other regional languages; 
(c) Capability to undertake strenuous out-door work.

Scheme of Examination:


PART I-Written Examination. 
PART II-Interview.

Written Examination: It consist of one paper of objective Multiple-choice Type on the following subjects:
