Medical Exam in DELHI
Details
on each courses of study are given hereunder:
Admission All India basis, Reservations SC 15% ST 7 1/2% Govt of India nominees 5 seats. Eligibility Age 17 yrs on 31 December of the year of admission. Academic qualification 12 yrs Senior Secondary with Phy. Chem, Biol and English securing 60% (50% for SC/ST) aggregate marks in these subjects. Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying exam are also eligible. Candidates should be medically fit. Application Procedure The prospectus alongwith application form may be obtained in person or by post from the Assistant Controller, Examination Section, AIIMS, New Delhi-29 on payment of Rs.350 (Rs.250 for SC and ST candidates) through bank draft drawn on State Bank of India in Favour of the Director, AIIMS alongwith a self-addressed stamped (Rs. 20) envelope of 25*15 cms. The form can also be obtained from the specified branches of the State Bank of India by cash/bank draft. Cheques/IPO/MOs are not accepted. Completed applications should reach the Institute by the notified date. Selection Merit in All India Entrance Examination conducted at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Calcutta, Delhi, Hyderabad, Lucknow and Chennai; provided there are sufficient number of candidates at each centre. The entrance exam is of 3 1/2 hours duration and carries one paper consisting of four parts of Phy, Chem, Biol (60 marks each) and GK (20 marks) containing objective type/multiple choice questions. The Institute prepares the merit list separately for general and SC & ST candidates. In case of tie between more than one student, selection is made on personal assessment (interview) by the Director and Dean. Fees Tuition fee Rs 300 pa. Hostels 6 hostels for boys and 2 hostels for girls and 1 hostel for married persons. Residence is optional. The residents are provided with single room furnished accommodation. Hostel rent is about Rs. 40 pm. Boarding and lodging Rs. 275 pm (approx). Scholarships 2 merit scholarships & freeships to undergraduate. House Jobs Internees are paid Rs.4,000 pm; Junior Residents Rs 9,400 pm. General The Institute has a well-equipped hospital with 900 beds and a number of Advanced centres, laboratories engaged in investigation in the field of medical care, relief and public health. MCh Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery, Neurosurgery, Paediatric Surgery, Urology. MHA.MSc Anatomy, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Drug Assay, Pharmacol and Physiol. MBiotech. MDS (Orthodontics), Prosthodontics. Research Studies PhD BSc (Hons) Eligibility BSc (Hons) Human Biol Same as 'MBBS' course. BSc (Hons) 0T/MTR/SH 12 yrs Sr Sec/1st yr of BSc with Eng, Phy, Chem and Biol/Maths securing 50% (45% for SC/ST) aggregate marks. Selection Merit in entrance exam conducted in New Delhi or other centers in the country. The course commences in August. Fees Rs 100 pa. Registration fee Rs 25. Hostels Limited Facilities. Stipend Rs 100 pm to selected candidates. Such Candidates are required to sign a bond to serve the Institute for one year
Engineering Exam in DELHI COMBINED
ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (CEE) is
conducted by University of Delhi for admission to BE course in (I)
Delhi College of Engineering: (ii) Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology.
(Jamia Millia Islamia and School of Planning & Architecture conduct
their own admission test separately). Candidates applying under Defence
quota/Nominated candidates are exempted from CEE.
Allocation of Seats DELHI REGION (the candidates passing the qualifying exam from schools located in the NCT Delhi) 85% OUTSIDE DELHI REGION ( The candidates passing the qualifying exam from schools/colleges located outside the NCT of Delhi) 15%. Reservations SC 15% ST 7.5 % Defence quota (Children/widows of personnel of Armed/Para Military Forces killed/disabled in action) 5% Wards/children of employees of Indian Missions abroad nominated by Ministry of External Affairs 1 seat (Addl) Govt. of India nominees 8 seats (Addl) 6 in DCE and 2 in NSIT. Eligibility Age. 17 years on October 1 of the year of admission. Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible. Candidates should be medically fit. Application Procedure The bulletin of information containing prescribed application from, syllabi for CEE and other details can be obtained from the Faculty of Technology, Mechanical Engineering Block, Delhi College of Engineering, Kashmere Gate, Delhi-110006 on payment of Rs. 220 through bank draft drawn on State Bank of India, Service Branch (Code 7687), Now Delhi in favour of Registrar, University of Delhi. The form can also be obtained by post on payment of Rs. 220 through bank draft along with a self addressed stamped ( Rs.20) envelope of 25x17 cms. Completed applications should reach the Faculty by the notified date. Selection On the basis of CEE conducted in Delhi. The test consists of objective type questions in Phy, Chem and Maths containing 60 questions each of 3 hours duration. The result of the CEE is declared after ¾ weeks of the conduct of CEE and is notified in leading newspapers/displayed on notice board in colleges/university. Admission Candidates who stand in merit on the basis of CEE result are also required to apply separately for admission in the prescribed application form which can be obtained from the Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology/Delhi College of Engineering. Defence Quota Candidates are selected on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying exam; they are also required to apply to the college for admission on the prescribed application form.
