Management Exam in HIMACHAL PRADESH

Reservation NRIs / NRI sponsored candidates/nominees of industries 10 seats.

Eligibility Bsc (Horticulture) / BSc (Forestry) / Bsc (Agri) / BSc / BSc Animal Husbandry/
BSc (Home Sc) / BA /BCom / Ag Engg / BE / BBA with OGPA of 5.50 / 10.00 (2.40/4.00) or its equivalent under course credit system or with 55% marks under annual system.

Application procedure The information bulletin containing application form can be obtained from the University on payment of Rs. 500 through bank draft (Rs. 250 for SC / ST) favouring Comptroller of the University. Completed application should reach the University by the notified date.

Selections Written test group discussion and interview at the campus.

Engineering Exam in HIMACHAL PRADESH

Allocation of Seats General (Free Seats) 50%, Payment Seats 45%, NRI/NRI sponsored 5%

Eligibility Pass in 10+2 examination of HP Board of School Education or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English for General Seats; for Payment/NRI seats, candidate must have obtained 60% marks in the qualifying exam.

Domicile General (Free Seats) (I) Candidates should have passed/appeared in the qualifying exam from the schools located in Himachal Pradesh (ii) Any State for children/wards of (a) employees of Himachal Government/Boards/Corporation/Autonomous bodies (b) Bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh. Payment Seats Admission is made on all India basis.

Admission General Seats On the basis of merit in CPET conducted by REC Hamirpur/HP University. Payment Seats Candidates who fulfil the minimum eligibility conditions may apply to the college directly.

Application Procedure General Seats Application form with brochure for CPET (Combined Pre-Entrance Test) can be obtained from Regional Engineering College, Hamirpur 177 005 on cash payment of Rs. 150 or on payment of Rs. 165 through IPO/Bank Draft favouring "Dy Registrar (Accts), REC Hamirpur", if required by post. Completed application with the required by post. Completed application with the requisite test fee should reach the Controller of Examinations, REC Hamirpur by the notified date.

Medical Exam in HIMACHAL PRADESH

COMMON ENTRANCT TEST is conducted by Himachal Pradesh University for admission to MBBS and BDS courses at (i) Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla; (ii) Dr Rajendra Prasad Medical College, Kangra; (iii) H P Government Dental College & Hospital, Shimla; (iv) Himachal Dental College, Sundernagar; and (v) M N DAV Dental College, Tatul (Solan)

Exemption from CET-NRI candidates and Government nominees.

COMMON DETAILS are given hereunder:


Admission is open to the children of bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh/employees of Himachal Pradesh Govt and autonomous bodies who have passed at least two examinations i.e. Middle/Matric/10+2 or their equivalent from schools/colleges located in the State. Children of Defence Personnel/ex-servicemen/ Central Govt employees/employees of Undertakings/State Govt employees who are bonafied Himachalies and who are living outside Himachal Pradesh on account of his/her service are exempted from the conditions of two schoolings from the State of H P. The bonafide Himachal students who are admitted to the Navodaya School situated in H P and who pass matric or 10+2 exam under the exchange programme from other Navodaya Schools in the country are also eligible for appearing in the entrance exam.

Reservations NRI candidates 10%

Eligibility Age 17-25 yrs as on 31st December of the year of admission. Academic Qualification 10+2 with Phy, Chem, Biol with 50% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST) provided the candidate has passed the subject of English as an elective subject. Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying exam are also eligible. Candidates should be medically fit.

Application Procedure Application form and prospectus can be obtained from Himachal Pradesh University on cash payment of Rs 150 or Rs 175 through IPO/Bank draft, if required by post. NRI candidates can obtain prospectus and application on payment of US $ 10 / US $ 15. Completed application with entrance test fee of Rs.500 (Rs 125 in case of SC/ST candidates) should reach the Assistant Registrar (Entrance Test), Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla 171005 by the notified date.

Selection Merit in CET conducted in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry (including Organic Chemistry) and Biology consisting of one written paper in each subject. The medium of exam is English and the question papers are of objective type. The test is conducted at Shimla Mandi, Dharamsala and Hamirpur. The merit list indicating marks in respect of all the candidates is displayed on the Notice Board at the University/Colleges.
