Eligibility MBA Bachelor’s degree in Arts/Commerce or Agri/Engg/ Med/Sc with 50/55% marks (relaxable for SC/ST) Candidates who have appeared in qualifying exam can apply. MBA (PT) Sponsored graduates with 3 yrs experience. MBA (PT) is conducted at Kozhikode, Trissur and Palakkad centres.

Application Procedure Application form and prospectus can be obtained in person from the Department on payment of Rs. 250 (Rs. 65 for SC/ST) through bank draft in favour of Finance Officer, University of Calicut or by post accompanied by self-addressed stamped (Rs. 5) envelope of 25 x 20 cms. Completed application should reach the Department by the notified date.

Selection Entrance Test of objective type questions on comprehension, verbal ability, analytical and logical reasoning, numerical ability, mathematical problems. Shortlisted candidates are called for group discussion and interview.

Engineering Exam in KERALA

STATE LEVEL COMMON ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (CEE) is conducted for admission to
BTech/BArch/BTech ( Agricultural Engineering) BSc (Dairy Science & Technology) courses in all the Engineering Colleges in the State affiliated to the Calicut, CUST, Kannur, Kerala, Kerala Agricultural and Mahatma Gandhi Universities. NRIs, nominated candidates and candidates from Tamil Nadu/Karnataka under reciprocal basis are exempted from CEE.

Allocation of Seats Free Seats All seats in the Government engineering colleges, 85% seats of the private-aided engineering colleges, and 50% of the total seats in the Engineering Colleges at Adoor, Chengannur and Ernakulam (under IHRD), Kasaragod (under LBS). SCT College of Engineering, Pappanamcode, Thiruvananthapuram, Thodupuzha (under M G University) and 25% of the states in the MES College of Engineering, Kuttippuram, Payment Seats 50% of the total seats in the engineering colleges at Chengannur, Adoor, Ernakulam, Kasaragod, Pappanamcode, Thodupuzha and 25% of the seats in the MES College of Engineering, Kuttippuram. NRI Seats 10% of the total seats is set apart for NRI candidates in the various autonomous institutions. Management Seats out of the total seats available in the private-aided engineering colleges such as, TKM College of Engineering, Kollam, MA College of Engineering, Kothamangalam, and NSS College of Engineering, Palakkad, 85% of the seats are Free Seats and 15% of the seats are Management Quota seats. MES College of Engineering Kuttipuram 25% seats are filled as Free Seats and 25% seats are filled as Payment seats from the rank list published by the Controller of Entrance Examination. 25% seats are filled as free Seats and 25% seats are filled as Payment Seats by the management from the minority community. Reciprocal Quota Candidates seeking admission under reciprocal arrangements for the seats reserved for the students from Kerala in the colleges outside the State are also required to take the Common Entrance Examination.

Admission is open to Indian citizens of kerala origin. Exceptions (a) Government nominees; (b) candidates selected through the All India Entrance Examination; (c) candidates sponsored under Reciprocal Quota by Government of Karnataka/Tamil Nadu; (d) Candidates who are Non-Keralites and who have undergone the qualifying course in Kerala and are sons/daughters of the employees of the Government of India of Defence Personnel posted to Kerala or employees who are serving the State Government (subject to the condition that the employees have served in the state of Kerala for two years) or employees of UNICEF and other agencies of the United Nations. Children of persons who are not domiciled in the State, but are permanently employed in any Government recognized institutions in Kerala are also eligible.

Reservations Seats are reserved for (a) All India Quota; (b) Government nominees; (c) Special Reservations i.e. Ex-servicemen, Defence Personnel, Anglo-Indian Community, CRPF); (d) NRIs 10%; (e) management quota 15%. Remaining seats are distributed as per the following mandatory reservations: State Merit 50% Regional Reservation 15% Socially and Educationally Backward Classes 25% SC8% ST 2%.

Eligibility Age 17 years on 31st December of the year of admission.

Academic qualification pre-degree exam of Universities in Kerala or equivalent with Phy, Chem and Maths securing 50% marks in Maths separately and 50% marks in Phy, Chem and Maths put together (45%marks/Pass marks for SEBC and SC & ST candidates). Candidates who have appeared in qualifying exam are also eligible.

Diploma holders securing 50% marks are also eligible for CEE for admission at certain universities.

Application Procedure Application form and prospectus for CEE can be obtained from the Engineering Colleges/notified institutions/Polytechnics on cash payment of Rs 400 (Rs 200 for SC/ST candidates). Those who desire to get the application form by post are required to remit Rs. 30 additionally. Completed applications should reach the Controller of Examination, Sasthamangalam, Thiruvananthapuram 695010 by the notified date.

Selection On the basis of merit in CEE is consisting of three papers in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates desirous of obtaining admission to the Architecture course are required to write the aptitude test in Architecture.

Medical Exam in KERALA

COMMON ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (CEE) is conducted for admission to MBBS, BDS, BPharm, BSc (MLT) and BSc (Nursing) courses in the following Colleges; MBBS Medical Colleges at Alappuzha (100 seats); Kottayam (100); Kozhikode (200);Thiruvananthapuram (200); Thrissur (100) and Academy of Medical Sciences, Kannur (100). BDS Dental Colleges at Kozhikode (40) Thiruvananthapuram (40). BPharm (28) BSc (MLT) (24) at Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram (50 seats each). Exemption Nominated candidates and NRIs.

Admission
is open to Indian citizens of Kerala origin. Exceptions Nominees of Govt of India. Pondicherry and Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep nominees and candidates selected through All India Entrance Exam; candidates sponsored under reciprocal quota.

Seats are reserved for Govt of India/ Pondicherry nominees; Children of Defence personnel Killed/disabled/missing or Ex/servicemen, OPH Anglo Indian Community candidates. Eligibility Age 17 years on December 31 of the year of admission.

Academic qualification Pre-degree exam from any one of the Universities in kerala or equivalent with Phy, Chem and Biol (as optional subjects) with 50% marks in Biol separately and 50% aggregate marks in Phy, Chem, and Biol put together, (a mere pass for SC/ST and 45% for SEBC candidates). BSc Degree holders with Phy, Chem, Zool, Bot/Biochem with 50% (a mere pass for SC/ST and 45% for SEBC) marks in main and subsidiary subjects taken together are also eligible. Such candidates should have passed the qualifying exam with Phy, Chem and Biol. Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible. Candidates should be medically fit.

Application Procedure Application form and prospectus can be obtained from the State Medical Colleges or as notified on cash payment of Rs. 400 (Rs. 200 for SC/ST) towards cost of form, registration fee for entrance exam. The form can be obtained by post by remitting extra payment of Rs. 30 through MO. Completed applications alongwith original receipt for payment of application fee should reach the Controller of Entrance Examination Sasthamangalam, Thiruvananthapuram-695010 by the notified date.

Selection Merit in CEE conducted at various Centres in the State. The exam of Pre-degree standard consists of 3 papers in Phy, Chem and Biol. The questions are of objective type and contain 120 questions with a duration of 90 minutes for each paper. Rank list is notified to colleges by the Controller of Entrance Examination and is published in local dailies. Candidates whose name appear in the rank list are called for interview for final selection and allotment of college etc.

General Students who pass out MBBS Should, if required by Government, serve in rural areas for a period of 3 yrs. A bond to that effect will be executed by each candidate at the time of admission.
