Adhichunchanagiri Institute
of Technology was started during the year 1980 under the auspicious
of Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust (Reg.) with the blessings
of Sri Sri Sri Balagangadharanatha Swamiji to provide technical
and other professional education in the rural area of industrially
less developed Chikmagalur.

Adichunchanagiri
Institute of Technology ( AIT )
was started in the year 1980
and the
campus having an area of about
51 acres, is one of the
finest sites on the Kadur-Mangalore road.
This institute was initially affiliated to
University of Mysore, then to Kuvempu University and now to
Visveswaraiah Technological University, It has an intake of
460 students sanctioned by Government of Karnataka
and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. Students
from various parts of the country have taken admission.
