Trust", Bangalore. Dayananda Sagar Educational Institutions
with a motto - "Education completes the man". This
unique conclave of seat of learning was established by Late
Shri Dayananda Sagar who was a visionary with a definite mission.
Institutions

Location
The
Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering has been approved by
the Indian, Federal and State Governments as well as the National
educational body - the All India Council for Technical Education,
and is affiliated to Visveswaraiah Technological University.
The institution is situated in the heart of "Garden City
of Silicon Valley of India" at Bangalore (12 57 N, 77 38
E, 920m altitude), one of the most important cities of India
which has been the nerve centre for Information Technology,
Aerospace Technology, many electronic industries of international
repute and many defence establishments.
The
Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering was established during,1979-80
with the basic courses of Civil, Mechanical and Electrical
Engineering has expanded into many branches of Engineering
catering to demands of professional education and today, offers
undergraduate programmes leading to Bachelors degree of the
Visveswaraiah Technological University / Bangalore University,

keeping with continued efforts for upgradation and advancement

Research
and development activities complement the various engineering
courses and Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering has a full
fledged CAD/CAM facility and Biochemical Engineering Laboratory
with activities funded by AICTE, KSCST, National Aviation
fuel Board. To meet persistent demands of Industry and business
with whom the institution has long standing and intimate contacts,
the infrastructure facilities are available by way of sophisticated
instrumentation and specialized expertise in various fields.
Industry, Research and development establishments have offered
many research and consultancy projects. Special accolades
have been won for specified projects over the years both by
students and faculty of the institution for such programmes.
Educational
experience
Being
affiliated to Bangalore University / Visveswaraiah Technological
University, the Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering adheres
to the syllabi, while not restricting the student to develop
their analytical bent of mind with skill in experimentation
thereby acquiring experiential knowledge. Students are encouraged
to take experimental project work to enhance hands-on of
experience. Regular interaction with experts in various
industry and research fields are available for enhancement

to various industries as a part of curriculum. While students
